But I’ve only heard good things about it and am hoping I can get it read this year. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The 77: Iris doesn’t talk to me all that much after Clem goes. I can't work out if she's hurt by Clem’s comment or mad at me. Had a fantastic time in Sydney for my lovely lil cuz’s @taylorjeanprice #HensParty - good food, great drinks and even greater company!!! Mum, Mel and I headed down on the train Saturday morning. We got to Sydney, checked into our hotel, then went and had lunch and espresso martinis to kick off. We got saturated heading to the first Hen’s event - Brush & Sip - but we had a fantastic time regardless. After that we all headed to Drag & Dine at The Imperial - without a doubt the best pub/club I’ve ever been to - the vibe, the aesthetic, the food, the entertainment. AWESOME! I lost count of how many pornstar martinis I had. But damn I wish it was my local! Then we finished the night at Harpoon Harry’s bar near our hotel. This morning, we got wet again, and tried to catch the train home. At Gosford the train was terminated due to unsafe conditions. Today my 77 comes from The Foretelling of Georgie Spider (The Tribe #3) by Ambelin Kwaymullina. I’m still to finish reading this #LoveOzYA thrillogy. I loved the first two books, but still haven’t been able to bring myself to let it end. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The 77: I put my arms around his neck and he lifted me up. In the pic are my January reads. I managed to cram a fair few in there. I’m quite chuffed with myself lol. I’m using Ninja Kid #1 (from nerd to ninja) by Anh Do for both my #TBRtrim20 New read and the #AusYABloggers New Beginnings Prompt. Why yes I am doubling up, bite me, I’m a busy mum with two little boys who works full time, I gotta catch a break somewhere. And it was a Christmas purchase so it totally counts. And I’m not eligible for either prizes as I’m part of running both challenges, so it doesn't really matter what I do lol. To find my #TBRtrim20 Old read I was browsing the early end of my Goodreads shelves, just focusing on books I owned, seeing if any of them grabbed my attention and I couldn’t for the life of me remember how I came to have a copy of Chosen by the Alpha (The Shadow Pack Rules #1) by Michele Bardsley. I got Riley to pick a book for my #77Saturday yesterday, then I realised I already had a 77 going live on the #AusYaBloggers group blog featuring Clancy of the undertow - an all time fave of mine. I then got on with my day and forgot all about posting on here. Anyways the book Riley picked off the shelf was 488 Rules for Life by Kitty Flanagan. I haven’t read Kitty’s book yet. Today my 77 comes from #LoveOzYA crime romance No Limits by Ellie Marney, an action-packed adventure ride of a book. The 77: “For a second I think he knows about Dad’s cancer and i’m struck dumb. Then it sinks in that he’s talking about the outstanding bills. Possibly the more pressing concern. If I don't do something about the bookie, there’ll be unwelcome knocks on the door. And if the tab here isn’t tidied up, dad will be a bear to live with for the next five months without his regular doses of beer and vodka.” Oh man how I hated Harris dad! I ordered these two before Christmas, and today they finally made their way to me 📚❤️ I was cracking up as I was looking at them next to each other. New year, same old Sarah overloading herself with a mammoth months TBR. Books I’m planning 🤞on reading in January: For the #AusYABloggers January’s New Beginnings Prompt I am planning on reading Dreadnought by April Daniels. For the #TBRtrim20 oldest I am planning on reading one of the first ever books I add to Goodreads when I started using the site in 2013, Shadows of the Realm by Dionne Lister. And for newest i’m doubling up on Dreadnought because I only recently purchased a copy of it - so it counts lol. I have four review books I need/want to get read; Enshrine by Kay Bennson, The Cursed Key by Miranda Brock & Rebecca Hamilton, Esme's Gift by Elizabeth Foster and Ghost Revelations by Aspen Black.
